Open House The Student Transition Program and Work Readiness for Youth are planning an Open House to highlight the Youth Programs here at the Coalition for Persons with Disabilities. This event will be held at 10 Kingsbridge Garden Circle, Suite 403 on Thursday March 1st from 1 to 4pm.

Work Readiness for Youth Program has new workshop dates! After a very successful first year the WRY program has begun its second run. Work Readiness for Youth is designed to assist youth ages 15 to 30 to become job ready. This is done by learning about and practicing with the necessary tools to obtain and maintain employment. The program begins with an 8 week interactive workshop that covers essential workplace skills. The second phase of the program is a 7 week paid Job Placement for those participants who have displayed readiness for employment.
The 8 week workshop start dates are:
Group One: January 16 to March 9/Full
Group Two: April 2 to May 25
Group Three: June 11 to August 3
Group Four: August 20 to October 12

Connections Resource Fair
Held every spring, the Connections Resource Fair is a showcase of products and services for persons with disabilities. In a trade show environment, visitors meet exhibitors and learn about the products, services and supports available to them in the community.
