The Centre for Skills Development & Training is a leading provider of quality career and workforce development programs, products and services. Since 1988, our focus has been on providing relevant programs, products and services that reflect the realities of todayís working world.

Career Services at The Centre includes a range of high quality career and employment-related programs and services, most of which are offered on a no fee basis to qualified candidates.

Academic Upgrading and English as a Second Language (ESL) at The Centre provide individuals with a wide range of programs and services aimed at assisting individuals to achieve their academic and career goals.

Programs and Services include:

• Career LINC
• Doorways - Math and Reading for the Trades
• English as a Second Language (ESL/LINC)

Languages for Living! (Continuing Education) are personal interest courses open to adults of the general public who wish to acquire an additional language for personal or business purposes.

Classes may include:
• Spanish - Introduction to Level 5
• Italian - Introduction to Level 4
• French - Introduction to Level 2
• Japanese - Introduction
• American Sign Language (ASL) - Introduction

The Centre's Pre-Apprenticeship Programs are designed to give clients the skills and experience they need to begin a new career in the Skilled Trades. These programs involve comprehensive in-class and work placement components.

• Machinist and Millwright
• Electrical
• Roofing
• Women In Skilled Trades

These Pre-Apprenticeship opportunities are offered at The Centreís Burlington location.
